港区女子

'Minato-ku joshi' refers to women who frequent high-end restaurants and lounges in Minato-ku (Roppongi, Azabu, Nishi-Azabu) and socialize with high-status men. Originally described as an aspirational lifestyle, it now mostly carries negative connotations — 'trying too hard' and 'getting treated by older men.' Often discussed alongside 'Minato-ku ojisan' (the wealthy older guys who wine and dine them). On social media, some use it self-deprecatingly while others use it critically. Whether someone actually lives in Minato-ku is irrelevant — it's about the lifestyle and values. In fact, many so-called Minato-ku girls apparently don't even live in Tokyo.
